The Osteopathic Practice

David Cooke

David Cooke qualified from The British College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2003, with first class honours in Osteopathic Medicine. He completed a Masters in paediatric osteopathy at the Osteopathic Centre for Children in 2006 and worked there as a clinical tutor for 7 years. He has also lectured at two different undergraduate osteopathic institutions.

The approach of the osteopath is to consider the whole structure and mechanics of a body and how that affects the function of that body. It really is concerned about seeking out the cause behind the presentation and ensuring that the body as a whole is functioning so that it can heal itself. The body essentially tells the story of your life both physically and emotionally, and it is the osteopaths job to restore function so that it works better and sorts itself out. The concept is quite simple really!

The Osteopathic Practice is based in Central North Oxford and has been established since 2003.

Osteopathy treatments are available for adults, babies, children, pregnant and post partum women.
